Great read

March by Geraldine Brooks is fantastic.  If you remember Little Women, the dad is away at war during 99% of the book.  March is told from his point of view.  I highly recommend it.

At my last bookclub meeting, my friend Lynn served this delicious dessert pizza, and was nice enough to share the recipe with me!  Thanks Lynn!  This is a fun dessert to serve to guests, I can't wait to try it.

Pizza gone wrong, Or oohhhh so right

1 Box of Sugar cookie mix

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

3 tbsp corn starch

3 tbsp strawberry jello

8 oz cream cheese

1 cup powdered sugar

3-4 sliced bananas

1 large can crushed pineapple, drained

1 large can mandarin oranges, drained

Sliced Kiwi, or Blueberries, OR BOTH!

Directions:

Follow directions on sugar cookie box. Spread out onto a greased cookie pizza pan and bake according to box directions. Bring the water, sugar and corn starch to a boil and cook until clear and thick. Add 3 tbsp of strawberry jello mix and set aside. Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and spread over cooled cookie dough. Layer sliced bananas, then jello mixture, crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges, kiwi and/or blueberries. Refrigerate.
