Great children's book and frozen treat!

Flotsam by David Wiesner is one of the most unusual and creative children's books you will ever read.  Well, you don't really read it because it is a wordless book.  But the story is told beautifully through the pictures and it will amaze you!  It won the Caldecott Medal, for best pictures, in 2007.

Nutella Fudge Pops
(Makes 6-7)

  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1/2 c Nutella
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • tiny pinch salt
Blend all ingredients until super-smooth. (We used a food processor, and we thawed the bananas a tiny bit so they’d blend.) I also added a few tsp. of cream to make it a little more liquidy.  Eat as ice cream, or scoop into popsicle molds (or paper cups) and freeze for fudgsicles.
